Limits: 60 requests a minute and 10,000 a day per key. Over that you get 429 with a Retry-After. A missing or wrong key gets 401; an unknown venue, artist or festival gets 404 with a hint. Shows and festivals we take only from Ticketmaster aren't included in the API.

Each show has: admission (pwyc pay what you can, free, door cover at the door, or none) and price; tickets, where to buy (the venue's own site or a primary seller, never resale), with tickets_from naming the seller; details, the show's page at its source; venue_size; and artists, the Triple C pages for the acts on the bill.

AI agents

Prefer MCP?

The same data is at https://triplec.fm/mcp as a Model Context Protocol server, so assistants like Claude can answer "what's on in Halifax this weekend?" from it. How to connect it.

Terms

API and MCP terms

  • Non-commercial use is free. Personal projects, research, students, artists, community groups, not-for-profits, and AI assistants answering people's questions.
  • Commercial use is a paid service. If you use the data in a product or service that makes money, or on behalf of a business, contact us at [email protected] to set up an agreement before you start.
  • Fair use. Stay within the limits, cache what you can instead of asking again, and don't scrape the website to get around the API. Keep your key to yourself: each key is for one person or project.
  • Credit and link back. Show "Data from Triple C" with a link to triplec.fm, and link shows, venues and artists to their pages here so people can see the details and buy tickets from the source.
  • Keep it accurate. Don't change show details or suggest Triple C endorses your project. If something's wrong, use "Suggest a fix" on the page.
  • The data comes as it is. It comes from venues' own calendars, ticketing services and listings sent in by bands and fans. We check it, but shows change and mistakes happen, so there's no guarantee it's complete or correct.
  • We may change things. We can change the API, the limits or these terms, and turn off keys that are used against them.
