Talk about the music. Be kind.
Comments on bands, venues and shows are for the people who make the scene and the people who come out for it. Here's what's welcome, what isn't, and how we look after it.
Welcome
- Opinions, good and bad. Loved the set, hated the sound, think the new single is their best: say so. Honest criticism is fine, even blunt.
- Memories and photos from shows, of bands, venues, posters and crowds.
- Questions and tips: doors, set times, where to park, which room.
- Jokes and the odd swear word. It's a music site.
Not here
- Attacks on people: harassment, threats, or putting someone down for who they are (race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or anything like it).
- Sexual content, nudity or graphic violence, and anything inappropriate about minors.
- Someone's personal details: a phone number, a home address, a private email, where someone lives.
- Serious accusations against a named person (a crime, abuse). If something has happened, tell the venue or the police, or contact us.
- Spam and scams: ads unrelated to the music, runs of links, gibberish.
How we check
Every comment and photo is checked as it's posted, first by an AI that looks for anything on the "Not here" list. Most go straight up. Anything it isn't sure about waits for a person on our team.
If yours is held
You'll still see it, marked "Only you can see this for now". We'll look, usually within a day. If it's fine, it goes up for everyone. If not, we take it down.

Press Report on any comment. It's hidden right away until we've had a look. You can also Hide a comment just for yourself. Questions about a decision? Get in touch.
Comments that break these rules are removed; if there are replies under one, it shows as "[removed by moderator]" so the conversation still makes sense. Accounts that keep breaking them can't comment any more. See also our privacy policy.
